feeling kinda sentimental about family and all.. this chinese new yr marks the last time i will still be at this home, with my daddy mummy and sis. it is also probably the last time my grandpa will be around for me to 拜年 to him
suddenly im afraid of all these changes, granted its all part and parcel of life, but it does seem overwhelming at the moment. im thankful for this yr, at least its still the way i grew up to for now.
yesterday, daddy made a comment “我的大女儿要嫁人了，那我怎么办。。”suddenly i realise that getting married its a very big change for my family as well.. i've always felt very small and the least important in the family, and that the formality of a proper wedding or not is not a big thing for him cos hes never one who fusses about traditions... but i've finally understood the meaning of such traditions, it is a ritual to mark the changes in one's life.. it helps one transit emotionally and mentally to a different kind of life, it helps one treasure every moment in life more. it is important. and especially so for my daddy though he doesn't say so.
