Was in New York the past week attending a conference. :D
In the beginning it was really kinda scary, cos i was all alone, travelling close to 30hrs to a foreign land. My very first trip abroad totally just by myself! no big deal to most of you out there but it was quite challenging for me... several interesting / HBP (high blood pressure) "injects" along the way:
- lost my room key
- credit card got rejected when paying for hotel @ first nite (almost stranded!)
- housekeeping misplaced something of sentimental value
- got lost in the subway system (haha)
- approached by 'dark' guy who followed me for a few blocks.. hmm
- approached by another 'dark' guy who called me a Japanese
- met rogue cabbie who was out to carrot me
- lost at least 4 times during drive to/fro New Jersey factory outlet
fortunately ive conquered all and managed to come back in one piece ;) it was definitely quite an experience though im not sure if i wanna go thru it again! the flight was just too too torturous......
